Autism Clinic - Clinic TeamDanielle Thorp Sutton, Ph.D. Dr. Sutton has been working in the field of autism for over 17 years. Her diverse experiences include research, assessment and intervention with individuals with autism of all ages and their families. She is a recognized expert in the gold-standard of autism diagnostics: the Autism Diagnostic Interview (ADI) and the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS), and has administered the ADI and ADOS to hundreds of children and families. Dr. Sutton helped develop and direct an internationally recognized autism spectrum assessment clinic at the University of Miami. Dr. Sutton is trained in Floor Time, Applied Behavior Analysis, and Pivotal Response Training, among many other intervention methodologies. She has provided consultation services to families, schools, and community agencies throughout the United States. Dr. Sutton’s work on autism has been published in the Journal of Autism and Developmental Disorders, Infancy, and the American Journal of Human Genetics, among others. She is a frequent guest speaker on the topic of autism, presenting across the U.S., Canada and Italy. Berney J. Wilkinson, Ph.D., NCSP Dr. Wilkinson is the Clinical Director of the Exceptional Student Education program at the Silver Child Development Center. As part of this role, he consults with the school system to assist in providing comprehensive, multidisciplinary recommendations and treatment plans for children and families. In addition to this program, Dr. Wilkinson evaluates children and adolescents who demonstrate behavioral or academic difficulties. He assesses learning disabilities, cognitive processing deficits, behavior disorders, and neuropsychological functioning. Dr. Wilkinson also provides treatment by doing individual and group based therapy and parent training. Saundra Stock, M.D. Dr. Stock is a Board Certified Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist who has been delivering clinical care to children and adolescents for over six years. As Associate Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine at USF, Dr. Stock provides medication evaluation and management to children and adolescents who present with a wide variety of concerns. Dr. Stock is an active participant in the development of practice guidelines for the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. She is a frequent lecturer on a variety of childhood disorders, including ADHD, depression, and bipolar disorder. Dr. Stock was named one of the Best Doctors in America in 2005-2006. Heidi Bruty, M.D. Dr. Bruty is a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist who has worked with children and adolescents at the Silver Child Development Center for the past two years. Dr. Bruty provides medication evaluation and management to children and adolescents with a variety of problems as well as conducts individual and family therapy as a treatment option. As Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine at USF, Dr. Bruty participates in the education of childhood disorders to medical students and resident physicians. Dr. Bruty is a published author in various academic journals. Brenda Curtwright, M.S., CCC-SLP Brenda Curtwright is a nationally certified Speech Language Pathologist who holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association and a license to practice speech language pathology in the state of Florida. Ms. Curtwright has over eight years experience assessing and providing therapy to children with pervasive developmental delay, autism, and other language based disorders. Ms. Curtwright has worked with school personnel, parents, and other community stakeholders to make recommendations for high quality services for children with autism in Hillsborough County Schools. |
