Mentorship Program

All residents are assigned 1-2 faculty advisors at the beginning of residency based on their career and personal interests. Advisors are great resources for assistance with fellowship plans and career goals. Residents meet with their advisors biannually along with having a biannual program director meeting. Many residents conduct a research or advocacy project with their advisor.

In 2014, we introduced a Big/Little Sib program, pariring all new interns with a senior resident for guidance and support.

Technology and Curriculum Resources

USF Pediatrics uses the New Innovations Management System for all schedules, evaluations, etc. All curricular materials are easily accessed on the USF "Moodle" website. All hospitals and clinics where residents work use an Electronic Medical Record which can be accessed remotely when necessary.

Committees

There are a multitude of opportunites for residents of all years to participate on USF, ACH and TGH committees. We currently have residents activitely participating in 21 committees.
