All residents are assigned a faculty advisor prior to beginning residency based on their career and personal interests. Advisors are great resources for assistance with fellowship plans and career goals. Residents meet with their advisors biannually along with having a biannual program director meeting. Many residents conduct a research or advocacy project with their advisor.
USF Pediatrics uses the New Innovations Management System for all schedules, evaluations, etc. All curricular materials are easily accessed on the USF "Moodle" website. All hospitals and clinics where residents work use an Electronic Medical Record which can be accessed remotely when necessary.
