  • The Linask Lab presented an abstract at the Weinstein 2013 meeting in Tucson, AZ.  The authors and titles:  Mingda Han, Alexei Eksimov, Lifeng Zhang, Rosana Lastra, and Kersti K. Linask.  Folate Prevents Abnormal Cardiogenesis by Protecting Numerous Metabolic Pathways: Major Effects on Lipid Metabolism.

  • Dr. Kersti K. Linask has been invited to present lectures at Shanghai Children’s Hospital at Fudan University, Shanghai, China in October 2013.

  • Dr. Kersti K. Linask has recently returned from a Fulbright at Tartu University in Estonia. During her time there, she presented on the following:

    • TromsØ Course on Perinatal Cardiology. University Hospital of Northern Norway and University of TromsØ, Norway.  Aug. 24-25, 2012.   Lecture: Importance of Nutrition in Early Life: Folate Protection of Cardiac Birth Defects by Modulation of Fatty Acid Metabolism and Wnt/β-Catenin Signaling.

    • Tartu University, October 2012.  Fulbright lecture.  Bloodflow dynamics of one cardiac cycle and relationship to mechanotransduction and trabeculation during heart looping.

    • Tartu University Medical School, November 2012.  Fulbright lecture.  Importance of Nutrition in Early Life: Folate Protection of Cardiac Birth Defects by Modulation of Fatty Acid Metabolism and Wnt/β-Catenin Signaling.

An international Patent Application was filed by USF on March 5, 2010 in relation to Dr. Linask's folate research.
