Jack Hutto, Jr., M.D.

Jack Hutto, Jr., M.D., received his Medical Degree from the University of Alabama. He performed his Pediatric Internship and residency at the University of Alabama Hospitals & Clinics in Birmingham and completed a fellowship in Pediatric Infectious Diseases and Immunology at the ;University of Florida in Gainesville. He is board certified in Pediatrics and Pediatric Infectious Diseases. He served in the U.S. Army Medical Corps as a pediatrician. Dr Hutto is currently a Professor of Pediatrics at the University of South Florida College of Medicine.

Dr. Hutto has practiced as a general pediatrician, with clinical experience within pediatric immunology and rheumatology in addition to pediatric infectious diseases and epidemiology. He has served as the chief medical officer for All Children's Hospital and is the vice president for Quality Improvement and Outcomes research. He is currently the Chief Patient Safety Officer for the free-standing children's hospital. His interest is in translational research application to primary care.
