Healthy Weight Clinic
The USF Healthy Weight Clinic is a multi-disciplinary clinic for children, adolescents, and adults. The clinic provides a comprehensive, family-based approach to children, adolescents, and adults who have a variety of weight-related problems ranging from anorexia and bulimia to obesity. In addition to the medical evaluation, each patient has access to a nutritionist, psychologist, psychiatrist, pediatric nurse practitioner, and athletic trainer. Located at the USF Health South Tampa Center, the clinic is available on a weekly basis.
What to expect at your first visit?
During the first visit, you will establish a baseline level of health with one of our medical providers. The introductory meeting will focus on the four pillars of good health: diet, exercise, stress and sleep management. After our relationship is established, the patient may meet the other health care providers on subsequent dates depending on the needs of the patient. The team works together to address all concerns to promote healthy habits.
