General Pediatrics
The Division of General Pediatrics of the University of South Florida manages all areas of child care from birth to young adulthood. Additionally, we have a new internal Medicine-Pediatric clinic under the direction of John McCormick, MD., a physician who is double-boarded in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics Med-Peds). Dr. McCormick sees adult patients and children at our South Tampa Center only. Our staff includes nurses, resident physicians, attending physicians and other practitioners, many of whom are bilingual. Resident physicians are doctors who have completed medical school training and are spending 3 to 4 additional years learning the specialty of pediatrics or internal medicine-pediatrics. Residents are always under the supervision of an attending or faculty physician. Our inpatient services include consultations and admissions to Tampa General Hospital and All Children's Hospital.
