Dorothy I. Shulman, MD
Dr. Shulman joined the faculty at the University of South Florida College of Medicine in 1985 after completing her Fellowship in Pediatric Endocrinology and Diabetes. She has served on the faculty since that time and is a tenured Professor of Pediatrics. She has served as Chief of the Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism since 2005 and is currently the Director of the Pediatric Endocrine Fellowship Training Program. Dr. Shulman served as Chairman of Pharmacy and Therapeutics at All Children’s Hospital for over 15 years. She also served on the Drug and Therapeutics Committee and the Nominating Committee for the Lawson Wilkins Pediatric Endocrine Society. She is currently a member of the Genetics and Newborn Screening Advisory Council for the State of Florida and is a member of the Benefits Committee for the USF Physicians Group. Dr. Shulman has been a volunteer physician for the Florida Camp for Children and Youth with Diabetes at Bring a Friend Camp and Camp Winona for many years. Her scholarly interests concern the care of children with a variety of endocrine disorders related to growth, puberty, adrenal gland, thyroid, polycystic ovarian syndrome, and diabetes.

Scholarly Activity
Dr. Shulman is an author of over 60 scientific publications. She currently is involved in clinical research studies concerning growth hormone treatment of short stature, treatment of precocious puberty, new technologies in diabetes, as well as the Trialnet Natural History of Diabetes Study.
