Lana McCauley-Soylu, M.D.
Lana Soylu, MD received her Bachelor's degree in Biology from the University of Colorado at Boulder and her Medical degree from the University of Colorado in Denver. She completed her pediatric residency at the University of South Florida in Tampa. Since her graduation in 2003, she has worked as a traveling pediatrician and in private practice. She joined the University of South Florida in 2009 as an Assistant Professor in General Pediatrics.
Dr. Soylu enjoys teaching medical students and residents and has a special interest in ADD/ADHD and Asthma education. She recently completed a quality improvement project for the pediatric resident clinic involving asthma education. She participates in the "Evidence Based Clinical Practice Course" for second year medical students and does small group teaching sessions for second and third year medical students. She also has experience in practice management and uses this experience in our USF clinic for the continued advancement in the ever changing field of healthcare. This includes her involvement with the IT department for continued improvement in the Electronic Medical Record. In addition to her clinic duties, she preforms neonatal circumcisions in the office.
Dr Soylu is a Board Certified Pediatrician and is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, Southern Medical Association and Florida Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
