Soichi Haraguchi, PhD, MS

Dr. Haraguchi is originally from Hamamatsu, Japan, and has resided in the United States since 1989. He was a faculty member at the Hamamatsu University School of Medicine from 1976 to 1989, and emigrated to the U.S. in 1989 to accept a postdoctoral fellowship position in the Department of Pediatrics at USF. From 1994 to 2006, Dr. Haraguchi served as Clinical Director of the Retrovirology Laboratory at All Children’s Hospital. He was also a member of H. Lee Moffitt Cancer & Research Institute from 1995 to 2004. In 2006, Dr. Haraguchi joined the faculty of Division of Allergy, Immunology, and Rheumatology at USF. Dr. Haraguchi’s major research interest is the role of thymic infection in HIV disease progression.
