Frank B. Diamond, Jr., M.D.

Upon completing his training in pediatrics and endocrinology, Dr. Diamond entered private practice at the Diagnostic Clinic in Largo, Florida. He joined the faculty at the University of South Florida in 1988. Since joining USF, Dr. Diamond has served in many roles including Assistant Medical Director of Children Medical Services of Pasco County, Professor of Pediatric Endocrinology at Universidad de San Francisco de Quito, and Medical Director of All Children’s Hospital Weight Management and Fitness Program (Kidshapers). At a national level he has served as President of the Genentech Endowment for Growth Disorders, Director of Lawson Wilkins Pediatric Endocrine Society, President of the Human Growth Foundation, and is currently President of the Florida Camp for Children and Youth with Diabetes. At the present time, he is the Clinical Director of the USF Diabetes Center. Dr. Diamond has an interest in obesity, diabetes, and a variety of other endocrine disorders.

Scholarly Activity

Dr. Diamond is an author of over 70 scientific publications and book chapters. He has been the recipient of several grants, particularly those related to obesity in children.
