Marisa Couluris, DO

After graduating from Emory University, Dr. Couluris worked at the Centers for Disease Control in Atlanta and the University of California, San Francisco where she was engaged in clinical research related to HIV infection. After earning her DO degree in 2001, she continued her training in Pediatrics at the University of South Florida and joined the faculty in 2004 as an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics. Dr. Couluris has a passion for pulmonary research. Her other scholarly interests include the promotion of evidence-based medical education.

Scholarly Activity and Interests

Dr. Couluris has an interest in pulmonology research related to pulmonary fibrosis, primary ciliary disorders, asthma and cystic fibrosis. She is also an investigator for several studies of cachexia related to cancer treatment.
