Physician Assistant Program

The University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine Master of Physician Assistant Studies (USF MCOM MPAS) program has applied for Accreditation-Provisional status from the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA). Accreditation-Provisional is an accreditation status granted when the plans and resource allocation, if fully implemented as planned, of a proposed program that has not yet enrolled students appear to demonstrate the program's ability to meet the ARC-PA Standards or when a program holding accreditation-provisional status appears to demonstrate continued progress in complying with the Standards as it prepares for the graduation of the first class (cohort) of students.

The ARC-PA provisional accreditation site visit to the USF MCOM MPAS program is scheduled for June 2016 and a response from the ARC-PA will be provided in September 2016.

Should the ARC-PA grant Accreditation-Provisional status, then the USF MCOM MPAS program will matriculate its inaugural class in May 2017.

If the USF MCOM MPAS program is not granted provisional accreditation by the ARC-PA the university will not accept or review any applications nor will it enroll students in the program.
