The mission of the Graduate Athletic Training Residency Program is to prepare Athletic Trainers in the role of clinical physician extender. Through educational opportunities, hands-on clinical training, and exposure to best practice patterns, residents will acquire the necessary tools for 21st century orthopaedic & sports medicine services. Graduates of the program will be prepared to join an orthopaedic practice and immediately make an impact on that practice by improving clinical efficiency, patient satisfaction and overall patient care.

The goal of USF's Athletic Training Residency is to provide high quality experiences in orthopaedic care, education and research in an environment that promotes and facilitates clinical and ethical growth for the athletic training resident.
