Students applying for residency positions in addition to the academic program will need
to submit their applications by no later than March 1, 2013 (or until positions are filled).

Applicants to the M.S. in Medical Sciences, Concentration in Athletic Training Post-Professional Program must meet the following criteria:
Undergraduate GPA: 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
Professional Certification: BOC certified/eligible or equivalent (such as Texas Licensed Athletic Trainer, LAT)

International students will need to provide degree program details and course descriptions with application. Course descriptions and programs will not be reviewed on an individual basis without a completed application.
Recommendations/evaluations: Two letters are required. Both letters should address the applicant’s academic ability and readiness to pursue graduate-level studies in an online format (self-motivated learners, dedication to the profession and a desire for advancement in the field)
Two (2) recommendations/evaluations are required:
• One from a/an faculty member, advisor, or work supervisor (This person may also be an ATC)
Please note that letters from friends, family, etc… are not considered professional letters of recommendation to assist us in judging your academic and professional potential to succeed in our program.
Application Information
How to Apply for the Athletic Training M.S. Degree
- Step 1
- Complete the USF Graduate School application
- $30 application fee for submission
- Submit GRE scores electronically to the USF Graduate School
- Step 2
- Complete the Athletic Training M.S. Program Application
- $45 non-refundable application fee for submission
- Submit official transcripts and unofficial copies of GRE scores directly to the program at mailing address below
- Step 3
Two (2) recommendations/evaluations are required:
- One from an ATC
- One from a/an faculty member, advisor, or work supervisor
Both letters should address your academic ability and readiness to pursue a post-professional online Master’s program in Athletic Training. These letters should be sent via mail or emailed from the recommender directly to Dr. Rebecca Lopez, Graduate Program Director: rlopez@health.usf.edu.
- Step 4
- Submit official BOC Certification Verification from the BOC site, which can be sent electronically to rlopez@health.usf.edu or in hard copy
- If you are not BOC Certified, please provide evidence of BOC eligibility and/or documentation to demonstrate the equivalency and currency of your professional knowledge in relation to the field of athletic training.
- Step 5
- Submit a cover letter and your resume via mail to the address below or via email to Ms. Angela Moore, amoore2@health.usf.edu.
