J. K. Williams, M.D. grew up in the Detroit , Michigan area and received his Medical Degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine where he also completed his residency and became board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology. After a few years in private practice, he joined the full-time faculty at Wayne State and moved to the University of South Florida in 1982. Dr. Williams is a Professor at the University of South Florida and is a recent President of the Florida OB/GYN Society, serves on numerous state and national committees, and has authored over 50 scientific papers in the areas of surgical gynecology, cancer detection, menopausal therapies, contraception, and evidence-based medicine. He now limits his practice to gynecology and preventative health care for women.
