Biographical Sketch
Dr. Stuart Hart is a native of Maryland. He completed his undergraduate degree in Microbiology from the University of Maryland and completed Medical School at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. He then entered residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. During this time, he served as administrative chief resident and was awarded the Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons, "2001 SLS Outstanding Laparoendoscopic Resident Surgeon Achievement Award". He continued his surgical interest by completing an 18 month fellowship in Pelvic Surgery at Northside Hospital in Atlanta. He then entered a private practice in Atlanta with a specialty in Urogynecology, Pelvic Pain/Interstitial Cystitis and Advanced Laparoscopic Pelvic Surgery. During this time, he also served as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Gynecology and Obstetrics at Emory University. Dr. Hart is currently board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology, a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and accredited by the Accreditation Council for Gynecologic Endoscopy in Operative Laparoscopy. He is also a member of The American Urogynecologic Society, American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists and the American College of Surgeons.
Dr. Hart maintains an active clinical practice specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of a variety of Urogynecologic disorders including pelvic organ prolapse, urinary incontinence, overactive bladder, chronic pelvic pain, pelvic floor dysfunction, interstitial cystitis and minimally invasive gynecologic surgery. He practices out of the University of South Florida Medical Campus, Tampa General Hospital and University Community Hospital. His area of research includes interstitial cystitis, chronic pelvic pain, pelvic floor dysfunction and laparoscopic gynecologic surgery.
