Biographical Sketch
Dr. Parsons received her medical degree from the University of Michigan and completed a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Chicago . She completed a fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the University of Illinois in Chicago and joined the University of Illinois faculty. Dr. Parsons joined the faculty at the University of South Florida in the Division of Reproductive Endocrinology in 1989 and is an Associate Professor. She is a national and international authority on the use of vaginal ultrasound to study reproductive physiology and the for the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of reproductive disorders in women. She has developed ultrasound techniques for studying the effects of drugs on the reproductive organs. She has developed widely used ultrasound techniques including sonohysterography and the use of contrast in 3-D imaging in the pelvis. Interests
