Biographical Sketch

 Dr. Mayer was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana. He received his medical degree at Tulane University Medical School. He completed his internship and residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University Of South Florida College Of Medicine. He completed the first fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility within in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of South Florida He is board certified and a diplomat of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He maintains a very active clinical practice in the areas of expertise (listed below) and he is the Director of Undergraduate Women's Health Care Education for the University Of South Florida College Of Medicine.

Dr. Mayer is a full time faculty member and an Associate Professor in the Division of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility, Director of Undergraduate Women's Health Care Education for the University of South Florida College of Medicine and Chief of Obstetrics and Gynecology Tampa General Hospital. He belongs to numerous local and national societies, particular to his subspecialty of reproductive endocrinology and infertility: the American Society for Reproductive Medicine, the Society of Reproductive Surgeons, the American Association of Gynecological Laparoscopists, and the Florida society of Reproductive Endocrinologist.
