Journal Club meets on third Thursday of each month 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

Visiting Professors and Guest Lecturers Several times each year the department hosts Visiting Professors. This several day exhibition promotes exchange of ideas and educational interaction with prominent surgeons from across the country.

Additionally, the department often hosts guest lecturers, often from allied fields whom have come to present grand rounds presentations.
