Bio Sketch

Dr. Sarah J. Gaskill is a seventh generation physician who is nationally known. Currently, she serves as treasurer of the Joint Section of Pediatric Neurosurgery of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons and the Congress of Neurological Surgeons. She is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the American Academy of Pediatrics and is board certified in neurological surgery and pediatric neurological surgery.

Dr. Gaskill has co-written the Handbook of Pediatric Neurosurgery and Neurology with Dr. Arthur Marlin. Additionally, she has authored over 60 articles and presented over 50 lectures. Dr. Gaskill completed her neurosurgical training at Duke University in 1994 and practiced in San Antonio, Texas, for 11 years before relocating to Florida in 2006 to pursue a career in academic pediatric neurosurgery. She has special interests in spina bifida, spasticity, brain tumors, epilepsy and hydrocephalus.
