Bio Sketch

Samy Youssef, M.D.Ph.D. joined the faculty of the Department of Neurosurgery in August 2008. Dr. Youssef has received extensive training in both his homeland of Egypt and here in the United States. His specialty training and academic work focuses on skull base microsurgery, spinal cord and brain tumors as well as vascular lesions of the brain. He has studied under the mentorship of the department Chairman, Harry van Loveren, M.D. Dr. Youssef practices at USF and the James .A. Haley Veteran's Hospital where he heads the Department of Neurosurgery Skull Base/ Cerebrovascular procedures.
