Bio Sketch

Fernando L. Vale, M.D. is an Associate Professor with the USF Department of Neurological Surgery. He joined the department in 1997 and began his appointment as Program Director of the Neurological Surgery Residency Program in 2004. He currently serves as Surgical Director of the USF/TGH Comprehensive Epilepsy Program and the USF Pituitary Disease Clinic, Co-Surgical Director of the Parkinson's disease Surgery Program, and Director of the USF Spine Fellowship Program.

He is a diplomate of the National Board of Medical Examiners and the American Board of Neurological Surgeons. He has published numerous journal articles and book chapters, and participated in extensive research studies and clinical trials. He frequently serves as a guest speaker for various professional society meetings.
