New TV/Internet Productions to Help Older Adults

[Tampa] TBCN Community Media Center recently completed production on three new programs for its Happy & Healthy TV series. They are:

"Avoiding Falls" provides information about how to prevent falls. Panelists include Robert A. Hauser, MD, USF Health Byrd Parkinson's Disease & Movement Disorders Center; Brenda Ruehl, Self Reliance Inc. Center for Independent Living; and Robin Watt, Sun City Center Emergency Squad.

"Writing the Story of Your Life" offers guidelines for memoir-writing. Panelists include Margo Hammond, journalist and workshop teacher at The Dali Museum; Val Perry, Life Story Program Coordinator at Bloomingdale Regional Library; and Paula Stahel, author and teacher of "Pages of My Life" program at Life Enrichment Center.

"Managing Chronic Diseases" offers educational resources to minimize the impacts of chronic disease. Panelists include Craig Bobik, USF Diabetes Center and Barbara Roberts, Florida Department of Health.

The Happy & Healthy series airs at 7 PM on Sundays on Verizon channel 30, Bright House Networks channel 950, Comcast channel 20.
