Research Interests

  • My Ph.D. research topic focuses on hepatocyte stages of Plasmodium falciparum and the role of MDR transporters expressed in the liver as well as the mechanisms to which effective fluorescent labeled antimalarials are capable of accumulating in the liver cells. The results of this research elucidate how current treatments for malaria can become more effective towards liver stage treatment.
