CENTER FOR MOLECULAR DELIVERY


Vision:

The Center for Molecular Delivery (CMD) is organized to facilitate both research and educational goals. To properly address USF’s research and teaching mission it is important to recognize the nature of the special blend and delicate balance between the two.  The CMD offers its members excellent opportunities to successfully combine these two elements.

An interdisciplinary approach is essential when examining the molecular nature of human health issues.  This approach facilitates the acquisition of new knowledge and allows development of therapeutic protocols.  The Center has the capability of developing a therapeutic approach from a basic understanding to pre-clinical research and eventual translation in to the clinic.  The CMD links faculty across USF with expertise on important aspects of this research issue and a keen interest, understanding and desire to accomplish USF’s graduate education mission.


Mission:

The mission for the Center of Molecular Delivery is to draw together certain disciplines to make a unified attack to resolve molecular delivery situations. USF is fortunate to have expertise in critical areas related to this task including expertise that is exclusive to USF.
