Events & Presentations
In keeping with the goal of bringing the different concentrations together, the Annual Scholarly Concentrations Program Student Symposium was created in AY2010-2011 to showcase medical student successes via oral presentations and provide a platform to illustrate the benefits of lifelong scholarship.
In 2016, the updated Annual Student Symposium welcomed medical students from the SELECT Program, the Scholarly Concentrations Program and independent RISE scholars. This is a well-attended event by MCOM faculty, USF leadership and students with presenters receiving awards for excellence. The 7th Annual Student Symposium took place on November 4th, 2016 with 31 presenters.
The 8th Annual Student Symposium took place on Friday, November 3rd, 2017 from noon-3:30 PM. This year we had our highest number of presentations with a total of 33 presenters.
