MD ADMISSIONS TIMELINE 2013-2014 CYCLE

 

2013

June 1, 2013

The primary application available to complete and submit through AMCAS.

Please note: The Office of MD Admissions reviews applications on a rolling admissions process. It is advised that students complete the application process as early as possible.

July 2013 – December 2013

AMCAS applications are received (electronic transmission of applicant’s data from AMCAS to USF may take 4-6 weeks after online application is submitted)

July - December 2013

Secondary application invitations are sent out.

August 1, 2013

Early Decision Applicants:  Deadline for receipt of AMCAS application.

August 15, 2013

Early Decision Applicants: Deadline for receipt of all secondary application information.

October 1, 2013

Early Decision applicants:  Applicants are notified of their admissions decision.

November 15, 2013

Deadline for submitting the AMCAS application.

August 2013 – March 2014

Applications are reviewed for possible interview invitation.

September 2013

Final MCAT test accepted for consideration for the 2014 cycle.

September 2013 – March 2014

Invitations to interview are sent out for regular decision applicants.

October 2013 – May 2014

Offers of admission are made on a “rolling” basis.

2014

January 5, 2014

Deadline for receipt of all secondary materials.

 

April 2014

 Interviews are concluded for the Fall 2013.

 

April 30, 2014

Deadline for MD/PhD applicants to withdraw Fall 2014 acceptance in order to comply with the AAMC Traffic Rule stated below:

By May 15 of the matriculation year (April 15 for schools whose first day of class is on or before July 30), April 30 for MD-PhD programs, each applicant who has received an offer of acceptance from more than one school or program choose the specific school or program at which the applicant prefers to enroll and withdraw his or her application, by written correspondence delivered by regular or electronic methods, from all other schools or programs from which acceptance offers have been received.

May 15, 2014

Deadline for Regular MD applicants to withdraw Fall 2014 acceptance in order to comply with the AAMC Traffic Rule stated below:

Deadline for accepted applicants to request a 1 year deferral.
