Salary and Benefits

University of South Florida residents receive a generous compensation package. Salaries are targeted at a level well above the national average and the comprehensive health insurance coverage is a model for programs around the country.

Health Insurance

• Single: free
• Married: $50 / month to cover spouse
• Married with children: $75 / month to cover spouse and all children

Disability Insurance

Vacation

• 2 weeks per year for PGY-1's
• 3 weeks per year for PGY-2's and above

Conference Leave

• 1 week per year (stipends are provided for residents who present at a conference)

Life Insurance

• $10,000 term policy provided free of charge

Maternity / Paternity Leave

Education Funding

• Provided for CME, conferences, book money, Step 3 reimbursement
