Ms. Phelps is the Research Support Specialist for the USF Hepatitis C Treatment Evaluation and Technical Assistance Center (ETAC) project. Her main focus with the project will be to coordinate ETAC related activities and act as the communication liaison between the USF ETAC team, clinical demonstration sites and Project Officers at HRSA. In addition, she provides support to the USF Division of Infectious Disease in other research, training, education and grant initiatives.
Her prior experience includes faculty coordination and administration for the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine; HIV/AIDS study coordinator for Oregon Health Sciences University, Division of Internal Medicine and program evaluation for the State of Alaska, Division of Public Health and the Alaska Primary Care Association.
Her research interests include, examining social norms as it relates to public health policy, reproductive health issues, and examining contrapower harassment (devaluing and hostile behaviors perpetrated by students) and how it impacts faculty and instructors who teach courses at institutions of higher learning.
