Ms. Lennerth received her BS in Nursing from the College of Mount St. Joseph in Cincinnati, Ohio. Since then, she has completed training as a Nurse Practioner in Adult Medical/Surgical Health Care and received her Master of Science in Nursing as an Adult Health and Clinical Nurse Specialist from the University of Florida.
In 1998, Ms. Lennerth joined the University of South Florida as a Clinical Coordinator for the College of Nursing. She worked in the College of Nursing for 7 years and in 2006, became the Director of USF Health Medical Administration. In 2008, she earned her Post-Graduate Certificate in Infection Control from the USF College of Public Health.
As Director of USF Health Medical Administration, Ms. Lennerth oversees both employee and student health, and infection prevention for USF Health. This includes the management of such programs as health screenings, immunizations, prevention of communicable disease transmission, prevention and management of occupational exposures, and maintenance of health records for USF Health faculty, students and staff. She also coordinates the infection prevention and control program for all USF Health ambulatory clinical sites to ensure the continued surveillance, prevention and control of infection.
