Biographical Sketch
In November 2012, Dr. Daniel Haight was named Associate Vice President of Community Health at Lakeland Regional Medical Center, where he intends to focus on community health, health information and access to health care. From 1996 to 2012, Dr. Haight served as the Director of the Polk County Health Department and contributed to many community health improvements. He is an Associate Professor at the University of South Florida, Morsani College of Medicine, Division of Infectious Diseases. He is board certified in internal medicine and infectious diseases and currently is on staff at Tampa General Hospital and Moffitt Cancer Center. Dr. Haight is an active member of many national, state and local organizations. He is also a Fellow of the Society of Healthcare Epidemiology of America (FSHEA).
