Biographical Sketch

Dr. Lynette Menezes is Director of International Programs and an Assistant Professor of Medicine with the Division of Infectious Disease & International Medicine at the University of South Florida, College of Medicine. She received her PhD in Public Health from the University of South Florida. Dr. Menezes coordinates and manages all of the international programs in India, the Dominican Republic and China for the Division of Infectious Disease and the College of Medicine. Dr. Menezes has over six years of experience in research and evaluation, and has previous experience in working with the underserved populations in urban and rural communities in India. She has presented at both national and international conferences. Dr. Menezes' research interests focus on international health issues including socio-behavioral determinants of HIV/AIDS, adherence to ART, socio-historical analysis of the HIV/AIDS epidemic, maternal and child health and family violence.

Fogarty International Center; Role: Co-Investigator, 7/07-06/12. USF-India Program in Adolescent HIV/AIDS Research Training (PAHRT). Develop collaboration between the University of South Florida and Indian Collaborators at the Vadodara Medical College, Gujarat, India to build capacity to initiate and sustain and research and training program in adolescent HIV/AIDS.
