Biographical Sketch

Dr. Ana Paula Velez is an Associate Professor in the Division of Infectious Disease at USF and she is currently the Vice Chief for the Infectious Diseases Department at the Moffitt Cancer Center. She has also been a frequent guest speaker for the talk show "Comunidad Viva" in Polk County.
 
Dr. Velez received her medical degree from The Instituto Ciencias de la Salud "CES" in Medellin, Colombia and completed her residency at Orlando Regional Center. After she finished her Infectious Diseases Fellowship at the University of South Florida, she joined the faculty.
