3rd Year USF Medical Students
The Emergency Medicine Clerkship is now part of the mandatory third year curriculum. Each group of approximately 10 USF medical students will be assigned a schedule at the beginning of the rotation.

The clerkship is comprised of 8 hour shifts in our adult and pediatric emergency care centers. There are also built in teaching days for procedures, general EM topics and the state-of-the-art Simulation Lab.

All questions pertaining to the 3rd Year Clerkship Rotation should be directed to Dr. Anish Zachiariah.

4th Year USF and Visiting Medical Students
There are 5 spaces each rotation period for fourth year medical students. USF medical students have priority for these spots.

Outside medical students are accommodated based on availability and successful completion of the rotation application through the USF College of Medicine Registrar's Office. If you are interested in rotations in our program , please visit the Visiting Students page on the Registrar's website, or contact Marrissa Cook, Registrar, at (813) 974-0828.

Once the Application for Externship is approved by the Registrar, it is forwarded to the Department of Emergency Medicine for final approval by the MS4 Clerkship Director.
