Biography

Susan F Goldsmith, MD has been employed by the James A Haley Veterans Hospital since 2008, specializing in the fields of Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition. After obtaining her medical degree at the Chicago Medical School, Dr. Goldsmith completed her internship, residency, chief residency, and gastroenterology fellowship at Lenox Hill Hospital in Manhattan.   Dr. Susan Goldsmith went on to complete a dedicated nutrition fellowship at Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York.  Her areas of interest include inflammatory bowel diseases and nutrition.

 

Dr. Goldsmith serves as an adjunct Professor at USF, sharing her knowledge with students of varying degrees.  She is a team leader in the outpatient and inpatient settings.  In addition, Dr. Goldsmith serves as Chairperson of the Nutrition Committee at the VA Hospital.  She is actively involved in many research activities, including recently published articles as well as on-going, long term national cooperative studies.
