M.S. Admissions Averages

GPA:  3.4             MCAT:  23               GRE:  1070

Since admissions are based upon meeting the minimum requirements,  applicants  frequently gain admissions even with credentials below the averages.   Again, admissions decisions are on a first come basis once the application period opens (March 15th).  Even applicants with credentials well above the averages will not gain admission once capacities are reached.

How will I be notified of an admissions decision?

All applicants will be notified within 60 days of complete Secondary Application receipt.  Admissions decisions will be sent to the email address provided on the Secondary Application.

Can any other exams be used for admssions?

No.  Only the GRE (General Exam) or MCAT scores will be considered for admissions.  No other test scores will be accepted--i.e. DAT, PCAT, LSAT, VCAT, etc.

Can test scores be submitted at a later date?

No.  Test scores must be included at the time of application.  MCAT takers will need to wait for scores to arrive in the mail.  GRE takers may use the unofficial scores provided immediately upon completing the exam.

Is it safe to wait until the application deadline to apply?

No.  Space is limited by classroom sizes.  We typically reach admissions capacity within 60 days of the opened application period.

Suppose I don't meet the minimum requirements for admssions?

Completing a certificate program is a good way to get a fresh start.  Credits from the Health Science certificate transfers into the 100% online Health Science master's concentration. Please visit http://www.outreach.usf.edu/gradcerts/ for more details regarding certificate programs.
