Research Interests:  SSTDs and HIV/AIDS; investigational vaccines and antimicrobial agents.

Faculty Council Goals:  I wish to continue participating as Treasurer of the Faculty Council in order to assist the Faculty Council Executive Committee and USF COM faculty with plans to enhance 1) communication, 2) interaction, and 3) participation of USF COM faculty in COM and University events important to the COM Faculty Council.  Our COM campus is a diverse one with significant impediments to having a cohesive, well-informed, and active Faculty Council.  This past year, the implementation of several projects to address these problems have been discussed.  These projects, based in part by the USF COM Faculty Survey results, were widely reviewed at the August 26, 2008 USF COM Faculty Council Strategic Planning Meeting by Faculty Council Representatives.  I have been honored to serve both Drs. Saporta and Ringenberg, as well as the other Faculty Council Executive Officers and Representatives, with these projects, and wish to continue for another term as Treasurer to again assist our COM Faculty with the mission, values, and vision of the Faculty Council.
