Who Should Attend
1) Physicians currently in Hospice & Palliative Medicine Practice.
2) Physicians interested in Hospice & Palliative Medicine Practice.
3) Physicians preparing to take the Board Certification Hospice & Palliative Medicine exam.
4) Registered Nurse and Advance Registered Nurse Practitioners
This course will focus on reviewing the 8 domains of practice used for the Hospice & Palliative Medicine Certification Exam blueprint, including case-based sample test questions.
* The Center for Hospice, Palliative Care and End-of-Life Studies and its partners are not involved in developing the ABMS certification examination and have no specific knowledge of the actual questions that will be included or excluded from the examination. The planning committee developed our course content after reviewing all pertinent information, including the examination outline, the Medical Content Categories & the concepts specified by ABIM.

You may visit AAHPM website to view additional resources available to provide a broad knowledge base in hospice and palliative medicine. They can be used to help you in preparing and reviewing for the ABMS certification examination.
HPM PASS—Hospice and Palliative Medicine Physician Assessment and Self Study Tool
This e-learning tool is an interactive practice test to help review for the board certification examination. It includes up to 150 test questions to help assess your knowledge in key areas of hospice and palliative medicine and uncover areas where additional review may be helpful. Note: AAHPM is not involved in developing the certification exam and has no specific knowledge of the actual questions that will be included on the exam. The committee developed the HPM PASS questions after review of the exam outline with an intent to emphasize concepts listed by ABIM.

From Tampa International Airport:
Take I-275 North to Bears Avenue (Exit 53). At end of ramp, turn RIGHT onto Bearss Ave. and proceed for several miles until dead-end. At dead-end, turn LEFT onto Bruce B. Downs Blvd. Proceed 2 miles and turn RIGHT onto Tampa Palms Blvd. The Club is 1/2 mile on the right.
From I-75
Exit #270 (Bruce B. Downs Blvd./Rt. 581). Proceed west for 2 miles. Turn LEFT onto Tampa Palms Blvd. The Club is 1/2 mile on the RIGHT.
From I-4 or Orlando
Take I-4 to I-75 North. to Exit 270 (Bruce B. Downs Blvd./Rt. 581). At end of ramp, turn LEFT. Proceed on Bruce B. Downs for 2 miles. Turn LEFT onto Tampa Palms Blvd. The Club is 1/2 mile on the RIGHT.
From Clearwater
Take the Courtney Campbell Causeway or Howard Franklin Bridge (whichever is closer). Proceed on I-275 North to Bearss Avenue (Exit 36). At end of ramp, turn RIGHT onto Bearss Avenue & proceed for several miles until dead-end. At dead-end, turn LEFT onto Bruce B. Downs Blvd. Proceed 2 miles and turn RIGHT onto Tampa Palms Blvd. The Club is 1/2 mile on the right.
TAXIS
Taxi cab service is provided from the Commercial Ground Transportation Quadrants located in all four corners of the Baggage Claim Level.
The airport is served by Yellow Cab and United Cab. Both companies charge the same fares: $2 plus $2.25 per mile. The minimum fee from the airport is $15. Once the meter exceeds the $15, the minimum no longer applies.
There is a maximum flat rate fee of $25 to Downtown Tampa and the cruise port.

Registration is required for admission to this Practice Review Course. All registrations must be prepaid by credit card or a check (drawn on a US bank, net of all bank charges). Please make checks payable to HPC Healthcare, Inc. A charge of $30 will apply to any check returned for insufficient funds. Fee includes admission to this 2 day course, the course syllabus, continental breakfasts and catered lunches, and daily breaks.

Cancellations: A cancellation fee of $50.00 will be retained on all cancellations. No refunds will be issued after October 15, 2010 but you may transfer your registration to a colleague.
The Center for Hospice, Palliative Care and End-of-Life Studies at USF reserves the right to cancel this program due to unforeseen circumstances, in which the full enrollment fee will be refunded. The Center for Hospice, Palliative Care and End-of-Life Studies at USF will not be responsible for travel expenses incurred by the participant in case of cancellation.
