Dr. Marshall is Director of the Scholarly Concentration in Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Business. He is the Vice-Chair for Finance and Administration Department of Psychiatry and Associate Professor, Departments of Surgery and Psychiatry at the University of South Florida COM and a Medical Director of the USF Practice Group. He is also Associate Director for the Technology Entrepreneurship Program and the USF Center for Entrepreneurship where he teaches Ethics of Innovation & Technology and Principles of Intellectual Property in the award-winning USF Technology Entrepreneurship Masters Degree Program, which he co-developed.

Dr. Marshall attended Johns Hopkins University and graduated from the University of Kentucky College of Medicine. He completed his surgical training at the University of Alabama-Birmingham (General Surgery) and the University of Iowa (Cardiac, Thoracic, and Vascular Surgery). He practiced cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgery and critical care for more than twenty years and founded and managed his own successful surgical practice. Dr. Marshall completed his MBA and his Master's Degree in Technology Entrepreneurship at USF and was the inaugural USF/Kauffman Foundation Post-Doctoral Fellow in Life Sciences.
