Ruth Oswald has been in the educational field in one form or another for her entire professional life. She worked 10 years as a 7th grade life science teacher in Hillsborough County and spent several years working with kindergarten students in the same elementary school that her daughter attended. In 2005, she accepted a position at USF as a computer-based testing specialist where she worked on making the Florida State Teacher Certification Exams available on the computer. Ruth currently works in the Office of Educational Affairs, coordinating the evaluations of courses and faculty, including preparing staff for the transition to new electronic evaluation platforms.
