Melissa has been in the educational field since 2003, when she started as a middle school Art teacher in Lee County, Florida. In 2007, after a family transfer to Orlando, she left the classroom and accepted a position with Orange County Public Schools as a post-secondary Coordinator developing curriculum and courses for the continuing education division. The position soon transformed into Online Development and her focus became online curriculum development and implementation. Feeling she had found her niche, Melissa decided to pursue her graduate degree in the field of online learning at the University of Central Florida. Her current appointment with USF is as an Instructional Designer, working in the Office of Educational Affairs in the Creative Services and Instructional Innovation (CSI2) department.
