Research Interests:

Non-operative management of spinal pain disorders
Restorative exercise for prevention and treatment of spinal pain disorders
Development of clinical outcome instruments related to physical functioning
 
 
Practice:

Dr. Mayer has practiced chiropractic since 1991. His clinical and research work focuses on functional assessment and rehabilitation of musculoskeletal disorders, particularly of the spine. In 2001, he was awarded the “Doctoral Prize” from Syracuse University for his dissertation research in applied exercise physiology of the lumbar muscles. He is a certified clinical research professional and has served as investigator on several research grants. Dr. Mayer has authored and co-authored many peer-reviewed papers, and has presented at various national and international scientific meetings.
