Research Interests
Current research involves studying the individual with diabetes as it affects the lower extremity re: peripheral neuropathy, plantar ulceration, plantar pressures and gait mapping for the screening, treatment and prevention of these lower extremity problems.
Clinical Practice
Dr. Hartsell’s clinical practice included outpatient orthopedics primarily in the field of sports physical therapy and as college teams therapist. Through involvement in sports therapy, she has had numerous opportunities to work as part of a national sports medicine team traveling internationally to such events as Pan American games, World Student games, British Commonwealth games and Olympic games.
