General Information

The program accepts applications from residents of any state. Applicants are considered without regard to gender, race, marital status, or religious affiliation.   The program design is a 4 + 3 model. A baccalaureate degree is required for admission unless enrolled in the Accelerated Program for USF Students. A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree is awarded upon completion of the program. Applicants must have completed or be able to complete the necessary prerequisite coursework prior to matrulation into the program.   The Doctor of Physical Therapy degree program is a limited access program with an enrollment of 36 students per class year.

Admission Requirements: The University of South Florida School of Physical Therapy & Rehabilitation Sciences implemented a "Rolling Admissions" procedure in September 2005.  Qualified students - those with at least the minimum required GPA and either (a) having completed all degree and course requirements or (b) those with no more than two (2) course prerequisites and degree in progress (no exceptions) - are encouraged to apply for admission at the earliest possible time. Admissions decisions will generally be made within four (4) weeks of receipt of the completed application portfolio.
