TrialNet Pathway to Prevention Study
- For individuals between the ages of 1-45 years with a first-degree relative (parent, child, sibling) with type 1 diabetes
- For individuals between the ages of 1-20 years with a second-degree relative (grandparent, aunt, uncle, niece, nephew, cousin or half-sibling) with type 1 diabetes
*Note: In addition the Pathway to Prevention study, TrialNet offers three prevention trials for individuals found to be at-risk through the Pathway to Prevention study.
The Immune Tolerance Network EXTEND Study in New Onset Diabetes
- Are male or female, aged 18-45
- Have been diagnosed with type 1 diabetes within the last 3 months
- Test positive for at least one type 1 diabetes-related autoantibody (a blood test is done to determine this)
- Are still making a minimum amount of insulin (a meal test is done to determine this)
- Are in good general health
Novo Nordisk Faster-acting Insulin Aspart Trial for Pediatric Patients with T1D
- For individuals ages 1-17
- Diagnosed with T1D for at least 90 days
- Additional eligibility criteria will be reviewed with you by the study coordinator.
