The USF dermatologists diagnose and treat both common and rare skin disorders in patients of all ages. Cutaneous oncology (skin cancer/melanoma/lymphoma), cutaneous surgery, cosmetic dermatology and Dermatopathology are areas of special expertise, along with skin aging, psoriasis, eczema and occupational dermatology. The Dermatopathology Referral Laboratory prepares and/or interprets specimens (45,000) both from our service sites as well as those received from outside community dermatologists. Mohs micrographic surgery, a technically sophisticated tissue sparing modality for skin cancer removal, has recently been added to provide another therapeutic option for our skin cancer patients. Several state of the art lasers are now available for our rapidly expanding cosmetic dermatology service line.
