Bio Sketch

Dr. Nelson, MD is Associate Professor and Director of the Dermatology Clinical Research Unit at USF Health.  Dr. Nelson has been a lifelong sufferer of atopic dermatitis (eczema). In the sixth grade he decided to pursue a career in medicine and because of his eczema he naturally gravitated toward dermatology.  Aside from his research Dr. Nelson actively sees patients at the USF Health Morsani Center for Advanced Healthcare specializing in psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, skin cancer, acne and viral diseases.   He combines compassion with newly found information and cutting edge therapies to bring the very best care to his patients.  Dr. Nelson feels that the art of medicine is just as important as the science of medicine.
