Jane Messina, M.D.
Bio Sketch
Dr. Messina is a Professor of Pathology and Cell Biology, Dermatology and Cutaneous Surgery, and Oncologic Services at USF College of Medicine. Jane Messina has practiced Dermatopathology at USF Health and Moffitt Cancer Center for 15 years, with a special interest in melanoma. During this time, she has taught hundreds of medical students, residents, and fellows and considers her teaching legacy her greatest accomplishment. "When I hear my own words come from a former student's mouth, I know I've made an impact on another doctor's practice, and therefore a patient's life." Through a combination of her clinical practice in Dermatopathology, teaching of trainees, and research she hopes to make an impact on the care of patients with melanoma and non-melanoma skin cancer.
