Biographical Sketch

Dr. Lambert received an M.D. and Ph.D. in physiology from the University of Florida and Master of Business Administration from the Isenberg School of Management at the University of Massachusetts. He did residency in internal medicine, fellowship in cardiology and interventional cardiology and a postdoctoral research fellowship all at the University of Florida. Subsequently, Dr Lambert remained on the faculty as Director of the cardiac catheterization laboratories until being appointed as Abraham Mitchell Eminent Scholar in Cardiology at the University of South Alabama College of Medicine and Hospitals. He returned to the University of Florida faculty to direct a cardiovascular affiliation with Health First, a three hospital integrated delivery system, along the Space Coast. More recently, Dr Lambert has served as Director of Interventional Cardiology at the University of Florida and Shands Hospital. The affiliation between USF and University Community Health brought Dr. Lambert to the College of Medicine as Medical Director of the Pepin Heart Hospital and Kiran Patel Research Institute.
