How to Install Email on My Mobile Device

This Reference Guide will assist you with installing Cloud 365 Email on your mobile device.

Cloud Email Client Configuration - Android

Android Device Email Setup

You will need the following information to set up Android Device:

  • Email Address- Your health e-mail ("name@health.usf.edu")
  • Username- "Your name"
  • Password- "Your health password"
  • Domain Name - "HSCNET"
  • Server Address- "m.outlook.com"

Set Up Email on your Android Device

The following steps will help you set up a new account on your android mobile or tablet.

FYI

You must delete the old account and add the 365 account new for this device.

  1. On your Mobile or Tablet Device, select the Applications menu icon.

  2. Click the Email icon.(This app may be namedMailon some versions of Android.) See Figure 1.

  3. In the Set up email window enter the following information:
    • Email: enter your @health.usf.edu email address.

    • Password: enter your @health.usf.edu email address password.

  4. Click Next.

  5. Select the option Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync.(This may be listed as Corporate or Microsoft Exchange email on some versions of Android). See Figure 2.

  6. Click the Edit Details option to manually enter the following account information:

    1. Domain\Username: enter your health account (username@health.usf.edu).

    2. Password: if not already entered please enter your @health.usf.edu email password

    3. Exchange Server: m.outlook.com

    4. Make sure the Use secure connection (SSL) box is checked. See Figure 3.

  7. Click Next.

  8. Select OK, for Activation.
    The server requires that you allow it to remotely control some security features of your Android device. See Figure 4.

  9. Click OK.

  10. Choose the information you want to synchronize between your account and your device on the Account Options screen. See Figure 5.

  11. Click Next.

  12. Select Activate.

  13. Enter an Account Name.

  14. Click Done.

FYI

Step 6 and 8 may appear even at the end of the setup, it appears at different times in different Android versions. Remember to tap Ok or Activatewhenever it appears. If not done so, you will not be able to access your emails.

Configuring an Apple iOS device (iPhone, iPad, iPod)

Apple iOS Device Email Setup

You will need the following information to set up Apple iOS

  • Email Address- Your health e-mail ("name@health.usf.edu")
  • Username- "Your name"
  • Password- "Your health password"
  • Domain Name - "HSCNET"
  • Server Address- "m.outlook.com"

Steps to change the Settings on an Existing Account

  1. Select Settings from the device icons.

  2. From the Setting menu select Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Business > Exchange > Account.

  3. Change the following information:

    1. Server: Change the server name to m.outlook.com if it is not already that.

  4. Tap Done.

Steps to Set up a New Account

  1. Tap Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Add Account.

  2. Tap Exchange.

  3. Enter the following information:

    1. Email: enter your @health.usf.edu email address.
    2. Password: enter your @health.usf.edu email address password.

    Then tap Next.

  4. Enter the following information:

    1. Username: enter your health account (username@health.usf.edu).

    2. Password: enter your @health.usf.edu email address password.

    3. Server: enter m.outlook.com as server name.

  5. Tap Next

    • Your iPhone will search for the settings and verify the account.

  6. Choose the type of information you want to synchronize between your account & device.
    Then tap Save.

Note

None of the potential merge account options are viable at this time. Do not use any of the merge features available.
